The Monsanto Hearings are public tribunals where people present testimony on the harmful impact that the Monsanto corporation has on food, farms, communities, and ecosystems. In our hearings we examine damages and ask what kinds of laws can protect people and the biosphere from corporate recklessness. Monsanto calls itself a sustainable agriculture company but who is calculating the damages concealed by their claims? The court becomes a theater to build public understanding and proactive communication about the privatization of life.
